Terms of Service

Last updated: April 26, 2025

These terms govern your use of NestNotice at nestnotice.com(“the Service”), operated by NestNotice (“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

The service

NestNotice monitors public recall databases from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). When a product on your tracking list matches a recall or safety notice, we send you an email alert.

Important disclaimer

NestNotice is an informational service. It is not a substitute for checking official recall sources yourself.

  • We do our best to catch every relevant recall quickly, but we cannot guarantee we will catch every recall, or catch it instantly. There may be delays between an agency publishing a notice and our system processing it.
  • Our matching depends on the product information you provide. If a product name, brand, or model is entered incorrectly or incompletely, we may not match it to a recall.
  • Always follow the official guidance from CPSC, FDA, or NHTSA for any recalled product. Our summaries are provided for convenience, not as official safety guidance.

Accounts

You need an account to use NestNotice. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person — please don’t share accounts (family access is available on Premium+ plans).

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. NestNotice is a service for adults caring for children, not a service for children.

Free and paid plans

NestNotice offers a free tier and paid tiers:

  • Free — track up to 5 products with recall alerts from CPSC, FDA, and NHTSA. Free forever, no credit card required.
  • Premium ($4.99/month) — unlimited products, pre-recall hazard monitoring, curated safer alternatives, and priority support.
  • Premium+ ($9.99/month) — everything in Premium, plus family accounts and auto-import from registries. Coming Q3 2026.

Prices may change. If they do, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before your next billing cycle.

Billing and cancellation

  • Paid plans are billed monthly. Payment is processed by Stripe.
  • Cancel any time — one click in your account settings. Your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
  • No refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access through the end of that billing period but won’t be charged again.
  • After cancellation, your account reverts to the free tier. Your product list is preserved (though only 5 products will be actively monitored).

Don’t use NestNotice to:

  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute our data or recall summaries at scale.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
