These terms govern your use of NestNotice at nestnotice.com (“the Service”), operated by NestNotice (“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
The service
NestNotice checks supported public official recall information relevant to baby and child products. When details on your saved product list appear to match a supported recall notice, we send you an email prompt with a link back to the official source for review.
Important safety note
NestNotice is an informational service. It is not a substitute for checking official recall sources yourself.
- We check supported sources and work to process relevant notices promptly, but coverage and timing are not guaranteed. Supported sources may change and may not include every agency, jurisdiction, manufacturer, retailer, or recall channel.
- Our matching depends on the product information you provide. If a product name, brand, model, manufacture date, date code, lot, UPC, or expiration detail is entered incorrectly or incompletely, a prompt may be a false positive and we may miss a relevant notice.
- Always follow the official agency or manufacturer guidance for any recalled product. Our summaries are provided for convenience, not as official safety guidance.
What our recall-related terms mean
When NestNotice uses phrases like “recall-source checks,” “saved-product review,” or “recall-match prompts,” we mean supported informational recall-source checks for products you add to your account. NestNotice is not insurance, a warranty, a certification program, a product-safety approval, legal advice, medical advice, or an emergency alert system.
NestNotice is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the CPSC, FDA, NHTSA, other agencies, manufacturers, retailers, or recall publishers unless we say so in a written agreement. References to public notices are for source attribution and parent review.
Any alternative-product notes or recommendations are research prompts only. We do not certify, endorse, or guarantee that a replacement product is suitable, currently recall-free, compatible with your child, or appropriate for your household. Product research may be incomplete, may not reflect the latest hazards, and is not a product safety review, certification, or recommendation. Before buying or using any product, verify the exact model, manufacture date, expiration date, official recall-source information, and manufacturer instructions. NestNotice may provide source-linked alternative research notes as available.
Accounts
You need an account to use NestNotice. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person — please don’t share accounts unless a family access feature has launched and its terms allow it.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. NestNotice is a service for adults caring for children, not a service for children.
Free and planned paid plans
NestNotice currently offers a free tier. Paid tiers are planned but are not available for purchase until checkout, pricing, cancellation, and plan enforcement are fully verified.
- Free — currently save up to 5 products for supported official recall-source checks and possible recall-match email prompts. No credit card is required for the free tier. The free plan may include ads.
- Premium — planned paid tier for an ad-free portal, expanded product limits, registry imports if technically supported, additional source-linked product-research context where available, and priority support without a guaranteed response time unless stated at purchase. Paid checkout is not yet enabled.
- Family — planned family/caregiver account features, with pricing, limits, and availability shown at launch.
Paid pricing and billing terms will be shown clearly before any purchase. If paid terms change after billing launches, we’ll provide notice consistent with applicable law and the billing terms shown at purchase.
Referral rewards
Referral rewards, if launched, may offer free service months when invited users sign up, subject to referral terms shown at launch. Rewards have no cash value, may be capped, and may be denied for spam, self-referrals, fake accounts, or misleading promotion.
Billing and cancellation
- Paid checkout is not currently enabled in this app. You should not enter payment information unless a verified checkout flow is available and clearly identifies the payment processor.
- Payment processing may be handled by Stripe or another disclosed payment processor after paid billing launches.
- Cancellation, refund, renewal, and downgrade terms will be shown before purchase and reflected in account settings or support workflows once paid billing is live.
- If a paid account later downgrades to the free tier, only saved products within the free-tier product limit may remain eligible for supported recall-source checks unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
Recall support assistance
NestNotice may later offer recall support assistance for eligible matched recalls. Unless and until separate terms are launched, NestNotice does not file legal claims, act as an insurer, act as your agent, guarantee refunds or replacements, provide legal advice, or control manufacturer or retailer remedy decisions. If any support workflow later involves submitting information to a manufacturer or retailer, it will require your express authorization and your review for accuracy.
Acceptable use
Don’t use NestNotice to:
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute our data or recall summaries at scale.
- Create fake accounts or abuse the free tier limits.
- Interfere with the service, other users, or our infrastructure.
- Violate any applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Intellectual property
The NestNotice name, logo, design, and original content are ours. Recall information is sourced from public official notices and may include references to agency, manufacturer, or third-party materials that remain subject to their own rights and terms. Your product list and personal data belong to you — see our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NestNotice and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Missed or delayed recall notifications.
- Incorrect or incomplete recall matching.
- Any injury or damage resulting from continued use of a recalled product.
- Service downtime or interruptions.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $50, whichever is greater). Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to hold NestNotice harmless from claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these terms.
Service availability
We aim for high uptime but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we shut down entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice and an export opportunity.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, we’ll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, subject to applicable consumer protection laws. Any disputes will be resolved in courts located in California unless applicable law requires a different venue.
